Human Interfaces & Virtual Environments: The Human Interfaces & Virtual Environments (HIVE) group has extensive and long-standing expertise in research and development in the field of human-computer interaction, data visualisation and virtual and augmented reality. The research group deals with the design and technical implementation of novel digital tools for visualisation, exploration or manipulation of data and processes. To this end, natural interaction techniques and intuitive display techniques are developed and evaluated for a wide variety of application areas, e.g. production data visualisation on interactive walls, visualisation of biological or logistical networks in virtual reality or new media for digital teamwork.
